Who are we?

Since 2005 Sedgehill Academy students have been writing & producing their own music in our studio. Musician In Residence, Andy Gilbert, gives students individual mentoring on their development as a singer, rapper, songwriter or producer. Our state of the art recording studio has been at the centre of all the work produced and has given the students a chance to experience creating their own music in a fully professional environment. XFade Records officially started as a a brand in 2012 which pulled all the amazing talent together in one place. Since then XFade artists have written over 300 original songs, put on live showcases and have accumulated over 150,000 plays collectively on Soundcloud so far. This has lead to many of our students progressing into the music industry either as performers, songwriters or producers. Please enjoy the music!
